There will be no Iridium provisioning between 1900 UTC June 5th – 1100 UTC June 9th 2014.
We recommend you check your prepaid balances and top-up any low balances before June 5, 2014.
Iridium are migrating their provisioning and billing system to a new platform.
Why is this being done?
- All Iridium services will be available in one system, currently used for OpenPort
- It will enable faster provisioning
- It will add more flexibility when creating bundles and plans for all services
When is this happening?
- Iridium have advised migration of services will take place between:
1900 UTC 5 June – 1100 UTC 9 June 2014.
What does this mean for you?
- There will be no access to Iridium services for provisioning services such as activation, top-up and suspension
- During this period SatPhoneCity will not receive any billing, or monitoring, data from Iridium
- OpenPort scratch card activation requests must be submitted no later 1800 UTC on 1 June 2014. Any requested after this time may be queued until after the migration
- To minimize inconvenience, services which are due to expire between 4-13 June 2014 will be changed to expire on 20 June 2014 by Iridium. Be aware that you may run out of units unless you top-up.
